چکیده
Abstract A 3-month experiment was designed to investigate the effects of different stocking densities on growth, stress markers, intestinal digestive enzymes, hepatic antioxidant biomarkers, serum immunity, and survivability striped catfish, Pangasianodon hypophthalmus . The relationship between fish water quality parameters also assessed. Healthy ( n = 1260 individuals, 17.52 ± 0.20 g) were raised in twelve fiberglass tanks. Triplicate groups with 60, 90, 120, or 150 per 1 m 3 designed, further referred as SD60, SD90, SD120, SD150 groups. Fish feeding done using a commercially purchased well-balanced diet three times day rate 3% wet weight. Results revealed that un-ionized ammonia, nitrite, pH significantly elevated, dissolved oxygen levels decreased increasing densities. survival rates growth lipase, protease, trypsin, amylase enzymes P < 0.05) along increased Moreover, significant decreases noticed total protein, lysozyme activity, globulin when density higher than 60 fish/m Conversely, biomarkers (such blood glucose cortisol), transaminases, alkaline phosphatase, urea nitrogen elevated Hepatic CAT, SOD, T-AOC decreased; meanwhile, MDA increased, together rates. In end, we found group recorded lowest rates, immune responses, capacity highest markers cortisol. this context, can conclude resulted better survival, status, overall performances catfish. Graphical

Comparative evaluation of metabolic enzymes activities in different tissues of striped catfish, Pangasianodon hypophthalmus (Sauvage, 1878) fingerlings reared at ambient and higher temperature
A 60-days feeding trial was conducted to study the effect of higher temperature (32°C) in comparison to ambient temperature (24.5°C) on different metabolic enzyme namely, aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), adenosine triphosphatase (ATPase), acid phosphatase (ACP) & alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activities in different tissues of Pangasianodon hypophthalmus. AST activ...
متن کاملEffect of different stocking densities on hematological parameters and growth performance of great sturgeon (Huso huso)
A 5 weeks study was conducted to determine the effects of different stocking density on hematological parameters of great sturgeon. Fish were cultured in duplicates of fiberglass tanks under stocking densities of 50, 75, 100 and 125 fish/m3 as T1, T2, T3 and T4 respectively. Based on the results significant increase (p<0.05) in total body weight and total length were related to low density grou...

Two repeated experiments were conducted to investigate the effects of different stocking densities onbroiler performance, carcass characteristics, litter quality and foot lesionsusing 5224 one day-old Ross 308 broilers. In each experiment, a total of 2612 one day-old broilers were allocated in 16 floor pens at densities of 16, 18, 20 and 22 birds/m2 of floor space in an environmentally controll...
متن کاملCool perches improve the growth performance and welfare status of broiler chickens reared at different stocking densities and high temperatures.
The present study investigated the interaction of stocking density and cool perch availability on broiler chickens raised at high ambient temperature (>30.8°C). Behavior, live performance, and the incidence of footpad and hock burns and abdominal plumage damage were investigated over a 4-wk experimental period. A total of 1,152 one-day-old Arbor Acres chicks were subjected to a 2 (cool perches)...
متن کاملThe Role of Antioxidant Enzymes in Adaptive Responses to Sheath Blight Infestation under Different Fertilization Rates and Hill Densities
Sheath blight of rice, caused by Rhizoctonia solani, is one of the most devastating rice diseases worldwide. No rice cultivar has been found to be completely resistant to this fungus. Identifying antioxidant enzymes activities (activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD), peroxidase (POD), and catalase (CAT)) and malondialdehyde content (MDA) responding to sheath blight infestation is imperative to ...
